Experience Silk

To step aboard the sailing catamaran Silk is to enter a sprawling sanctuary that prioritises the physics of comfort. The interior salon acts as the vessel’s social meridian, defined by wide, sliding glass doors that dissolve the boundary between the climate-controlled interior and the Indian Ocean. The aft deck, purposefully shaded to protect one from the Seychelles sun, serves as a masterclass in spatial utility, offering a seamless transition from the sophisticated interior to an alfresco dining setting where the scenery is the only thing more curated than the menu. Her layout rewards the curious with a front deck that serves as a dedicated sun-worshipping platform. Here, the sun-beds are not merely furniture; they are strategic outposts for relaxation, positioned to capture the rhythmic rise and fall of the hull as it navigates the turquoise flats of the Mahé waters. However, the true vertical pinnacle of the Silk experience is found on the flybridge. Elevating the concept of a "cocktail hour" to a literal altitude, this lounge area provides an unobstructed 360-degree view of the horizon. It is here that the sophisticated traveller acknowledges that while the Seychelles may have been forged by volcanic activity, it was perfected for the enjoyment of a chilled glass of Blanc de Blancs at sunset. With full air conditioning extending from the common areas to the private sanctuaries of the cabins, Silk ensures that the tropical climate remains an external spectacle rather than an internal inconvenience, maintaining a temperature-controlled environment as consistent as the crew’s commitment to excellence.

Charter Silk

Chartering the sailing catamaran Silk is an exercise in deliberate, unhurried excellence, moving through the archipelago at a pace that suggests the destination is merely a formality and the journey is the actual event. This is a vessel for the pragmatist who demands a professional crew capable of navigating the complex coral geographies of Praslin and La Digue with the same ease as they manage a five-course Creole dinner. The logistical prowess of the operation is underscored by the inclusion of a 2.70m tender, a vital tool for the discerning guest who wishes to depart the mothership for a reconnaissance mission to a secluded beach or a local pier. The onboard systems reflect a rigorous maintenance standard and a refusal to compromise on the fundamental requirements of a high-tier charter. It is a professional operation disguised as a leisure pursuit, where every tack and jibe is executed with a level of precision that makes the complex art of sailing look suspiciously like a natural law. The decision to charter Silk is, ultimately, a rejection of the frantic pace of contemporary tourism. To spend time on her two decks is to embrace an authentic experience rooted in generosity with its space. Whether one is utilising the dedicated BBQ facilities for a fresh catch or retreating to the cabins to enjoy the rare luxury of silent, powerful A/C, the experience is one of sustained competence. The professional crew does not merely provide service; they serve as a buffer between the guest and the sea's complexities, ensuring that the only adventure encountered is the one intentionally sought.

Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA)

  • Upon boarding, the charterer will be required to provide credit card details (Visa/Mastercard) to cover extras, incidentals, or potential damages.
  • A pre-authorisation of 20% of the total charter fee will be charged as an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA).
  • This allows us to take care of any extras, incidentals, or damages during your time with us, leaving you free to relax and enjoy.
  • This will also cover any extraordinary expenses such as special requests, shoreside transport, excursions, or additional equipment not pre-agreed at booking, which are not included in the cruise costs.
  • Throughout the charter, the Captain will advise if the APA balance becomes insufficient, and guests will be asked to top it up to maintain an adequate credit balance.
  • Providing credit card details is mandatory; failure to do so may result in the trip being delayed until the guarantee is received.
  • At the end of your charter, the final amount covering actual expenses will be charged to your card, and any remaining funds from the pre-authorised hold will be released.
