Experience Vertigo

The sailing catamaran Vertigo, a Lagoon 450 S SportTop, features an innovative low-profile helm station, seamlessly integrated into the coachroof line, invites admiration and curiosity, highlighting its modern approach to yacht design. This architectural shift lowers the centre of gravity for more stable handling under sail while keeping the helmsman contextually connected to the cockpit social zone. Sailing through the Seychelles on this specific vessel offers a masterclass in blue-water equilibrium, handling open-ocean crossings between Mahé and Praslin with minimal pitch and roll. Indoors, the saloon balances utility and comfort, utilising vertical wrap-around windows to optimise natural light and minimise solar heat gain. The main deck layout prioritises uninterrupted movement, flowing from the fully air-conditioned indoor lounge to the wide aft dining area. The low helm placement also grants seamless access to the forward sunbathing trampolines, allowing guests to switch environments effortlessly. Below deck, four double staterooms serve as private, self-contained en-suite quarters, providing the necessary quietude for large groups. Interestingly, Vertigo carries its own narrative history, having served as the primary filming platform for the feature movie The Crossing, a testament to its sea-keeping reliability.

Charter Vertigo

Operating out of Eden Island Marina in Mahé, Vertigo is fully customised for self-reliant, multi-day exploration across the remote corners of the Indian Ocean. The boat comfortably accommodates up to ten people across its four principal double cabins and two smaller crew berths in the bows, making it ideal for group expeditions. Autonomy at sea is ensured by high-capacity infrastructure, including a heavy-duty generator, a high-output watermaker for freshwater production, and extensive fuel and water storage. On deck, the combination of a classic full-batten mainsail and a high-performance gennaker gives operators precise control over speed when tapping into the regional trade winds. The onboard equipment inventory supports a comprehensive island-hopping itinerary, featuring an outdoor plancha barbecue, snorkelling packages, and deep-sea fishing rods. Available for bareboat charter to qualified captains, or with a professional local skipper and cook crew, the vessel provides the freedom to bypass crowded shore resorts and anchor directly inside the pristine, shallow-water lagoons of Praslin and La Digue.
